Cast Aluminum Plate
CNCALPARTS machines cast aluminum plate and precision aluminum components for equipment builders, robotics, automation, electronics, and optical manufacturers worldwide. We work exclusively in aluminum, so tooling, workholding, stress control, and surface preparation are tuned to one material family only.

Aluminum Grades We Machine
- 6061 / 6082 — general purpose plate, housings, brackets, fixtures
- 7075 — high strength structural and aerospace-grade parts
- 2024 — fatigue-resistant components
- 5052 / 5083 — corrosion-resistant plate and enclosures
- MIC-6 — cast aluminum plate for flatness-critical tooling and bases
We specialize exclusively in aluminum CNC machining. Other metals are outside our scope.
Overview
Cast aluminum plate is chosen when flatness, dimensional stability, and machined surface quality matter more than raw material cost. It is widely used for tooling plates, base plates, vacuum tables, optical mounting surfaces, and precision fixtures. Machining cast plate well requires controlling heat, clamping pressure, and chip evacuation so the part stays flat after stress is released.
CNCALPARTS machines cast aluminum plate alongside extruded and rolled aluminum stock, producing flat, parallel, and dimensionally repeatable parts from prototype through repeat production. Drawings in STEP, STP, SLDPRT, IGES, X_T, DWG, DXF, or PDF are all accepted.
Flatness & Parallelism Control
Flatness down to 0.02 mm and parallelism down to 0.02 mm on plate-type aluminum components, verified with CMM and height gauge inspection.
Thin-Wall & Large Pocket Machining
Minimum wall thickness of 0.5 mm and deep pocket strategies designed to limit distortion and control internal stress release.
Anodizing-Ready Surfaces
Clear, black, color, and hard anodizing prepared with bead blasting or brushing when a uniform cosmetic finish is required.
Applications & Part Types
Cast aluminum plate is machined into a wide range of structural and precision components. Typical parts we produce include:
Parts are manufactured to customer drawings, 3D models, tolerance requirements, and application needs. Whether you need one prototype plate or a recurring production batch, CNCALPARTS supports the full path from prototype to low-volume and repeat production.
Why Work With CNCALPARTS
We take a focused approach to CNC machining. Instead of processing many different materials, we specialize in aluminum and continuously improve our processes around one material category.
Aluminum Only
Deep, repeatable experience with aluminum alloys, tooling, and cutting parameters.
Deformation Control
Workholding and machining strategies that keep thin walls and large pockets stable.
Inspection & Reports
CMM, height gauge, micrometer, caliper, thread gauge, and surface roughness testing with dimensional or first article reports.
Prototype to Production
From 1–10 piece prototypes to 10–500 piece low volume and 500+ piece batch production.
Engineering Communication
Drawings, tolerances, and critical dimensions reviewed before production begins.
Surface Finishing
As machined, bead blasting, brushing, polishing, powder coating, and anodizing options.
