Aluminum Extrusion Machining and Custom CNC Services
CNCALPARTS is a precision CNC machining facility specializing exclusively in aluminum. We provide secondary CNC machining for aluminum extrusions and manufacture custom components for global OEMs.
We do not process steel, brass, or plastics. By focusing entirely on aluminum alloys (6061, 6063, 7075, 5052 and more), we have refined tooling, chip evacuation, workholding, and deformation control specifically for this material.
Specialized Aluminum Extrusion Machining
Secondary machining of aluminum extrusions requires distinct setups compared to billet machining. Profiles often carry internal stresses from the extrusion process, and long lengths present challenges for workholding and vibration control.
Precision Cut-to-Length
Maintaining squareness and length tolerances on extruded profiles.
End Face Machining
Milling or drilling of cross-sections for mounting and assembly.
Feature Milling
Machining slots, keyways, and pockets into the extrusion profile.
Precision Drilling and Tapping
Creating accurate hole patterns for fasteners and connectors.
Multi-Face Machining
Using 4-axis and 5-axis capabilities to machine multiple sides of an extrusion in a single setup, ensuring positional accuracy between features.

The Advantage of Material Specialization
General machine shops often balance the requirements of steel, stainless, and aluminum simultaneously. This leads to compromised tooling choices and generic workholding strategies.
At CNCALPARTS, our entire shop floor is configured for aluminum. This focus provides tangible benefits for your parts:
- Tooling Optimization: We use high-speed aluminum-specific tooling and geometries that maximize material removal rates without sacrificing surface finish.
- Deformation Control: Aluminum is susceptible to heat-induced warping. We utilize specific workholding and cutting strategies to minimize stress and distortion, particularly in thin-wall components and long extrusions.
- Anodizing Preparation: We understand the nuances of surface finish required for aesthetic or hard anodizing. Our machining processes account for the material removal required to achieve final dimension specifications after coating.
- Consistency: By maintaining a single-material workflow, we eliminate cross-contamination and ensure that our cooling and lubrication systems remain optimized for aluminum.
Deformation Control for Structural Components
Machining long extrusions or complex housings requires managing internal stresses. When material is removed, these stresses can cause the part to twist or bow.
Our engineers analyze your 3D models to determine the most stable machining sequence. For complex parts, we implement roughing passes to release stress before final finishing, ensuring that the part remains within flatness and parallelism tolerances after it is removed from the fixture.
Applications and Industries
We manufacture components for technology-driven industries where precision and reliability are mandatory. We work from your STEP, STP, or IGES files, alongside PDF engineering drawings detailing critical dimensions and surface requirements.
Automation and Robotics
Structural frames, robotic arms, and mounting plates.
Electronics
Custom enclosures, heat sinks, and chassis components.
Optical Equipment
Precision housings and mounting brackets.
Industrial Equipment
Manifolds, fixtures, and custom structural components.
Finishing and Surface Treatment
The final appearance and durability of your aluminum parts are as important as their dimensional accuracy. We offer in-house and partnered finishing services to meet your specification.
- As Machined Natural finish for internal components.
- Bead Blasting Provides a uniform, matte surface ideal for hiding tool marks.
- Anodizing Clear, black, or custom colors for corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.
- Hard Anodizing For increased wear resistance in mechanical applications.
- Powder Coating Durable protection for heavy-duty environments.
Quality Assurance
We verify every batch against your technical requirements. Our inspection department utilizes CMMs, height gauges, micrometers, and surface roughness testers to validate critical dimensions.
Before production begins, we review your drawings to ensure tolerances are achievable. Upon completion, we provide Dimensional Inspection Reports and First Article Reports (FAR) as required by your project documentation.
Initiate Your Project
We support production runs ranging from 1–10 prototypes to 500+ unit batches. If you are seeking a reliable manufacturing partner for your aluminum CNC machining and extrusion requirements, send us your technical specifications for review.
