Medical & Laboratory Aluminum CNC Machining

CNCALPARTS produces precision aluminum components for medical devices, laboratory equipment, and analytical instruments. Tight tolerances, stable geometry, and repeatable surface quality are built into every setup.

We machine aluminum only. That single-material focus sharpens our control over tooling, workholding, thermal behavior, and anodizing preparation for regulated, technology-driven industries.

Typical Medical & Lab Aluminum Parts

  • Instrument housings and enclosures
  • Optical mounts and sensor brackets
  • Heat sinks and cooling plates
  • Fluid manifolds and pneumatic blocks
  • Thin-wall frames and precision plates
  • Complex 5-axis structural components

Non-implantable medical equipment, laboratory automation, and analytical instrumentation.

Why Aluminum Focus Matters in Medical & Laboratory Work

Medical and laboratory equipment demands dimensional stability across every unit, not just the first article. Aluminum behaves differently from steel, stainless, brass, or titanium, and the process window is narrow. Because CNCALPARTS machines aluminum exclusively, our cutting parameters, fixtures, and inspection routines are tuned to one material family.

Thin walls can distort. Large pockets release internal stress. Cosmetic surfaces require careful handling. Anodized parts need attention to dimension and surface condition before finishing. These are the challenges we work with daily, which is why customers in regulated and technology-driven industries stay with us from prototype through repeat production.

Capabilities Applied to This Category

The same aluminum-only process platform supports medical housings, laboratory frames, and analytical instrument components.

Tight Tolerance Machining

General tolerance ±0.05 mm, precision down to ±0.01 mm, with flatness, parallelism, and position control down to 0.02 mm where the application requires it.

3-, 4- and 5-Axis Milling

Multi-sided machining, deep pockets, and complex geometry on parts up to 1000 × 600 × 500 mm, reducing setups and improving feature-to-feature alignment.

CNC Turning & Turn-Mill

Precision turned parts up to Ø300 mm diameter and 500 mm length, with threads from M1.6 and holes from Ø1.0 mm.

Thin-Wall & Deformation Control

Minimum wall thickness of 0.5 mm with managed workholding, chip evacuation, and heat control to protect geometry through the full run.

Surface & Anodizing Preparation

As machined, bead blasting, brushing, and polishing, plus clear, black, color, and hard anodizing, powder coating, and chromate conversion.

Inspection & Documentation

CMM, height gauge, micrometer, caliper, bore and pin gauges, thread gauges, and surface roughness testers, with dimensional and first article reports.

Prototype to Repeat Production

CNCALPARTS supports the full path from early design evaluation to recurring supply for medical and laboratory programs.

Prototypes focus on fast manufacturing and design feedback. Low-volume and batch production focus on stable setups, efficient machining, repeatability, and consistent inspection so that unit ten matches unit one.

Materials we machine

Aluminum alloys only: 6061, 6063, 6082, 7075, 2024, 5052, and 5083.

Order Stages We Serve

  • Prototype 1–10 pcs for design verification
  • Low-Volume Production 10–500 pcs with stable, repeatable setups
  • Batch Production 500+ pcs with consistent inspection
  • Drawing Formats STEP, STP, SLDPRT, IGES, X_T, DWG, DXF, PDF

Quality Control for Regulated Applications

Drawings, tolerances, critical dimensions, surface requirements, and inspection needs are reviewed before production begins. During machining and final inspection, parts are measured with CMMs, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and surface roughness testers. Inspection reports are supplied according to project requirements.

Pre-Production

Drawing and tolerance review, critical dimension identification, and inspection planning.

In-Process

Dimensional checks during machining to hold geometry and catch drift early in the run.

Final Inspection

Full measurement on qualified equipment, with dimensional and first article reports on request.
