Robotic systems are unforgiving about weight, stiffness, and repeatability. Every gram on a moving axis affects payload and cycle time, while every mating surface affects positioning accuracy. Aluminum is the natural material for these structures, and machining it well requires control of cutting conditions, chip evacuation, workholding, heat, and deformation.
Because aluminum is our only material focus, these are the challenges we work with every day. We review drawings, tolerances, critical dimensions, and surface requirements before production, then machine, measure, and inspect with equipment such as CMMs, height gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, and surface roughness testers.
